Mit Sound Development hat Gina Schmidheiny die Kulturförderung, für die sich ihre Familie seit Generationen engagiert, für sich neu interpretiert.

Ziel war, als Wegbegleiterin, Künstler/innen, Ideen und Visionen längerfristig und nachhaltig Möglichkeiten zu geben, die ohne diese Unterstützung kaum realisierbar gewesen wären.
Sound Development wurde in diesem Sinne im Jahr 2002 als nicht-kommerzielle, von Gina Schmidheiny finanzierte, Kulturinitiative gegründet.

Nach zahlreichen, unterschiedlichen Projekten wird die Nia Schmidheiny Foundation ihren Fokus neu ausrichten, weiterentwickeln und entsprechend neue Formen schaffen.

Sound Development wird daher bis 31. März 2017 die letzten Male operativ tätig sein.

Wir blicken zurück auf eine bereichernde Zeit mit internationalen Projekten, kreativen Expeditionen und aussergewöhnlichen, inspirierenden Begegnungen.
Abschliessend – und ganz in diesem Sinn - möchten wir uns bei allen Beteiligten, die zum Erfolg und Charakter von Sound Development beigetragen haben, herzlich bedanken.

With Sound Development, Gina Schmidheiny has reinterpreted the promotion of culture, which her family has been committed to for generations.

The aim was to support artists, ideas and visions by offering more long term and sustainable options that would hardly be possible without this support.
Sound Development was founded in 2002 as a non-commercial cultural initiative funded by Gina Schmidheiny.

After numerous different projects, the Nia Schmidheiny Foundation will realign its focus, continue to develop and create suitable new forms.

Sound Development will therefore be operational for the last few times by 31 March 2017.

We can look back on an enriching time, international projects, creative expeditions and extraordinary, inspiring encounters.
Finally, in keeping with this sentiment, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to the success and character of Sound Development.
